Memorize the Holy Quran with mastery

Record your recitation and let AI follow you word by word, flagging wrong or missed words, with precise progress tracking and inspiring competitions.

Itqan (Itqan114) is a free web app at itqan114.com for memorizing and revising the Quran. You recite from memory, aloud, and the app follows you word by word: each word you say correctly turns green, a word it is not yet sure it heard is underlined in amber until it becomes clear, and a mistake stops you so you can say it again; if you still miss it, the word turns red and counts against you in a report you can retry from. It also has the Madani mushaf in the riwaya of Hafs from Asim with tafsir and translation, listening to reciters, position tests, memorization and review plans with reminders, and tools for teachers, circles, institutions and parents. It runs in the browser, installs on phones and computers, and its interface comes in seven languages: Arabic, English, French, Turkish, Indonesian, Persian and Urdu.

  • 114 Surahs available
  • 6,236 Total ayat
  • 7 Languages

This is how Itqan listens as you recite

Words start grey and turn green as you say them correctly. A word heard with doubt is marked amber until it is settled. A mistake opens the stop panel so you can say the word again — and if you still miss it, it turns red and counts against you.

Eight doors, one app

Each door is a page of the app — here is what you will find behind it.

Recite

Recite from memory and the words light up before you, one by one. At the end, a report shows in red what counted against you and in amber what you repeated; retry from it, save it as a PDF, and your session’s audio is kept so you can go back to it.

  • Live, word by word
  • Three ears listening together
  • Ayat hidden until you recite them
  • A stop panel at each mistake
  • Start from any ayah

Test yourself

Choose your range of juz’ or surahs and random positions are drawn for you; each shows you the start of an ayah and you carry on to the end of its page, as in competitions.

  • A range of juz’ and surahs
  • The draw
  • Carry on to the end of the page
  • “Enough” when you are done
  • A score and a history of your tests
